Cookies
We keep passing Girl Scout Cookie Tables everywhere. Samoas and Thin Mints. Mmmm. Samoas and Thin Mints are particularly good frozen. I tried to buy a year's worth of cookies, but we have this whole mortgage thing now... GS cookies are not cheap. But they sure are tasty.

Did you know that the only reason we Americans eat "cookies" instead of "biscuits" is because of the Dutch colony on Manhattan pre-dating the English take-over? Cole-slaw is another dish that we can attribute to the Dutch. And both get their weird names (cookies from the dutch word for "cakes" and cole slaw from some other Dutch word I can't remember) from a colony that, until recently, was thought to have little or no effect on American culture.
